I had a number of money envelopes to make this year for Christmas birthdays as well as Christmas.  I thought a fun idea would be to use the Technique Tuesdays "Pull Strip" die.  I made them quite small as I also wanted to make envelopes to go with them.  If you are like me, you will have oodles of 6x6 paper hanging around which is never used !  I wanted to be able to make envelopes from 6x6 patterned papers !

Here is how I made them :

Cut a piece of card and patterned paper both 3" x 4".

Die cut the "pull strip" on the patterned paper and stamp using the border stamps (I added a strip of plain card to my patterned paper so you can see the pull strip and wording easily !!)

Put foam tape all around the edge of your piece of card and place your money in the centre (don't forget to do this as you can't add it later !!).

Add your piece of patterned paper over the top and decorate.

These were so quick and easy to make and such fun !

I used my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board for some fun envelopes.

You can see a list of everything I used below !

We hope you can join us in our challenge this week and we look forward to seeing what you make !

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a great day !

Kuretake UK - Winter

The 21st December was officially the first day of Winter but you wouldn't believe it ! My husband was telling me yesterday that it was the warmest 22nd December since the 1920's !!

It looks as though we can only dream of snow and add it to our cards !!

Here is my second Kuretake UK project for December.  Our theme is "Winter".

You can find a full step by step tutorial of how I made this card on the Kuretake UK Blog.

I loved these scribbly birdies as soon as I saw them !  I just love this one and had to make him into a big Robin !  I adore Robins !

I stamped the holly with the Gansai Tambi paint and pulled colour into the centre of the leaves and berries.  I love how these paints are so thick and full of colour that you can actually stamp with
them  !  OK they don't give that "crisp" impression that inks give but there are times when that isn't needed.

The set of stamps also comes with a stencil so I added snowflakes using white ink and added some sparkle with the clear Wink of Stella pen.

I added splatters of white Wink of Stella to give the impression of tiny snowflakes.

The sentiment was cut from gold mirror card and I added the rest of the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

As I said, you can see a full step by step tutorial on the Kuretake Blog and you can see links to everything I used below.

Hope you have a super Christmas and thank's for popping over !
